Employment Settings
This planning tool is designed to help individuals, employment specialists, vocational rehabilitation counselors, and other supporters to develop a plan of action for a behavior that presents a threat to success in the workplace.
- Part 1 asks a series of questions that help to describe the individual in the positive way that should have been revealed in the Discovery process. It also provides a guide to better understand why the individual might continue to engage in a behavior.
- Part 2 asks about ways to prevent the behavior from occurring. It also helps to pinpoint the skills the individual might need to replace the problem in the long run.
- The last page provides a format for a one-page plan that can be used in the employment setting to encourage the individual to use an appropriate alternative behavior and to assist others in knowing what to do to support the person.
