Meet Catherine Citta, a LEND trainee!
Catherine joined the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) course this semester (August 2021). She was drawn to the program for the ability to “contribute to and learn from others across the state who have a passion for advocacy, policy, and programming.” An important and impactful lesson Catherine has learned so far is the reminder that disability is a completely normal human experience. She notes that “We all have our own unique experiences that has brought us to the table of advocating for acknowledgement, respect, and support of individuals with disabilities.” Born in Atlanta, GA, she enjoys spending time with her pet dog and her friends in her spare time. A recent goal of Catherine’s has been starting her own educational consulting business, Little Peach Educational Services, LLC. The three words she’d use to describe herself are: Driven; Tenacious; and Resourceful.
Thank you, Catherine, for all you do with LEND!
