
Meet Darien Todd, a Community Advocate Specialist at CLD!
Darien worked as an intern at CLD for a year before permanently joining the team in August 2021. As a Community Advocate Specialist, he advocates about Inclusive Postsecondary Education programs as well as serving as a trainer for CLD’s My Voice. My Participation. My Board. training program. He is a graduate of the KSU Academy for Inclusive Learning and Social Growth, one of Georgia’s eight inclusive postsecondary education programs. Darien enjoys program researching and increasing efficiency of CLD’s operations as well as inspiring and assisting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve their goals. He is a true native, having been born in Ellenwood, GA and living in Atlanta his whole life. Darien is blessed to have the support of his family, one older brother, and a dog named Dawson, who is “a little lazy, but I love him.” The three words Darien would use to describe himself are: Hard-working; Open-minded; and Funny.
