Meet Jessica Watson, a LEND trainee!
Jessica is part of the 2019-2020 Georgia Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (GaLEND) cohort. Joining the GaLEND program helped to "seal the deal" on relocating to Atlanta after several years in south Georgia, as she considered other programs at various research universities in the southeast. GaLEND provides the unique opportunity to learn from and collaborate with emerging leaders who are all part of the disability community. One of Jessica’s major life goals is to earn her Ph.D. With this degree, she hopes to continue research in the area of transition assessment and planning for young adults with disabilities who are preparing to transition in to adulthood. The three words she’d use to describe herself are: Energetic; Loyal; and Strategic.
