Meet Erin Vinoski-Thomas, the Director of Health and Wellness at CLD!
Erin first joined the CLD as a Research Associate in July 2012 through August 2015, and returned recently as faculty in August 2019. Erin is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of research and other activities in the broad area of health and wellness for people with disabilities and their families. She also teaches an undergraduate course within GSU’s School of Public Health: Introduction to Disability and Public Health. “[CLD]’s core values align closely my professional and personal values, which makes it easy for me to look forward to showing up and working hard every day” she says of her work here.
Erin is a proud native of Boston, Massachusetts, as evidenced by her love for Dunkin’ Donuts, seafood, Tom Brady, good drivers, and cold weather. She has now lived in the south for almost 10 years. Erin lives in Decatur with her husband, Brad. She visits home as often as possible to visit her parents, three brothers, sister-in-law, and many of her very best friends. Earning her PhD was an important goal that Erin achieved in 2019! Her next big goals are to write and publish a book and to visit a new continent (she has visited 4 out of the 7 and plans to visit them all someday). Erin describes herself as Thoughtful, Quick-witted, and Persistent. Her husband describes her as “Brainy, Brainy, and Brainy.”
Thank you Erin, for all you do at CLD!
