Meet Rasheera Dopson, a LEND trainee!
Rasheera started the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) course in August 2019 and it so far says it has been an “enjoyable, eye-opening experience”. She was first introduced to LEND at one of the state’s Advocacy Days where she met the LEND Director and another trainee. She was looking for more way to be involved in the disability community locally, and LEND provided the perfect foundation. In her free-time, Rasheera tries to read at least two books a month; and has a habit of reading multiple books at once. A recent accomplishment of hers is publishing a book of her own! The most important thing Rasheera has learned in LEND so far is that “Every voice matters, and everyone deserves a seat at the table”. The three words she’d use to describe herself are: Passionate, Loyal, and Kind.
Thank you, Rasheera, for all you do with LEND!
