Meet Susanna Miller-Raines, the Operations Coordinator at CLD!
Susanna has been at the CLD since February 2012, making it the longest she’s been at one job. Covering many roles at the Center, Susanna is in charge of internal and external communications. She is also the Project Manager for CLD’s Model Demonstration Transition Programs for Students with Intellectual Disabilities (TPSID) grant; the Statewide Coordinator of the Georgia Inclusive Postsecondary Education Consortium (GAIPSEC); and the Project Manager for the My Voice. My Participation. My Board. training. She describes her duties as being a “trainer, advocate and project manager”. Susanna’s favorite part of working at the CLD is that she can make the world a little better for Georgians with Intellectual Disabilities. Susanna was born and raised in Shreveport, LA. She’s also a proud grandmother! At the spry young age of 39, she has a 2 ½ year old grandson, without ever having children herself. All this was made possible through Susanna’s wife, Michelle, and her wife’s daughter. One of her life goals – achieved before 30 – was to run a summer camp. From 2009-2011 she was the Program Director of Talisman Programs in Zirconia, NC. The three words she’d use to describe herself are: Loud, Vibrant, and Kind.
Thank you, Susanna, for all you do for the CLD!
