Meet Brian Barger, the Director of Research and Evaluation at CLD!
Brian joined the CLD team in 2015. He oversees research and evaluation projects, mentors students to become effective researchers and analysts, and serves on the core CLD leadership team. The UCEDD network developed out of JFK’s willingness to use his presidential power to better the lives of individuals with disabilities. Brian loves “working in a place that holds to this mission and keeps the conversation about the responsible use of power alive”. He wants to help guide his students to develop their ability to balance their professional goals with the needs of the teams they work with, and the technical skills to answer thorny applied problems. Brian was born in Athens, GA, raised throughout the southeast, and for the past decade, has called Athens home again. He is married and has three sons. In his free time, Brian enjoys spending time with family, playing guitar, and hiking. The three words he’d use to describe himself are: Persistent, Trusting, and Low-key.
Thank you, Brian, for all you do for the CLD!
