Meet Josephine Mhende, a Research Coordinator at CLD!
Josephine started working with CLD as a practicum student completing her graduate internship hours, and later joined the staff full-time in January 2017. She serves as project manager for some of the Center’s funded research projects. I work with principal investigators to conduct fieldwork initiatives, research analyses, and evaluations. Her favorite thing about working at the CLD is that she “gets to engage in research that helps inform policy. My hope is that these policies will lead to a more inclusive world for all”.
Josephine was born in Toledo, Ohio, but has lived many places, from London to New York. She has lived in Atlanta the past 16 years, along with her husband and son, Jacob, who just turned 3. One of her favorite things about Atlanta is the various festivals there are to take part in. Josephine’s “absolute fave” is Taste of Atlanta, where you get to try new foods from a variety of restaurants and vendors. Three words she’d use to describe herself are: Bubbly, Witty, and Mindful.
Thank you, Josephine, for all you do for the CLD!
