Meet Kate Brady, one of CLD’s Community Advisory Council (CAC) members!
Kate has been a member of the CAC since 2015. She has worked in the field of disability policy, service, and systems advocacy for nearly two decades. Kate is currently Deputy Director at the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities (GCDD), where she brings experiences from work across multiple systems including Vocational Rehabilitation, Medicaid, Social Security, and Workforce Development. She is excited to be in collaboration with CLD through her role with GCDD and as a CAC Member. Kate moved to Atlanta in the fall of 2001 after completing graduate school, and will “always stay because of the great friends and colleagues I’ve had the joy of collaborating with to further the disability rights movement”. Time with family is precious to her, and she “soak[s] in all the time I can get with my son and step daughter”. In her solo time, she enjoys drinking coffee and sitting outside looking at the trees. The three words she’d use to describe herself are: Observant, Analytical, and Hopeful
Thank you, Kate, for all you do for the CAC!
