Meet Spenser Norris, a Community Services Specialist at CLD!
Spenser started working with CLD as a graduate research assistant and Academic Transition Teacher with IDEAL at GSU in January of 2017. She was officially hired on as a staff member at CLD on June 5th, 2017. Spenser supports Inclusive Post-Secondary Education initiatives on a statewide and regional level. She is also a current GaLEND trainee, the Inclusion Coordinator for IDEAL GSU, (Georgia State’s IPSE program), as well as a teacher, rehabilitation counselor, and job coach. She enjoys working with campus and community partners, undergraduate students of all ability statuses, and teaching.
Spenser was born and raised in Snellville, and has lived in Atlanta the past six years. “[It] is a very diverse city in the sense of its residents, culture, opportunities, and activities. I love having a wide range of events and places to choose to spend time - there is something for every mood!” The three words she’d use to describe herself are: Independent, Energetic, and Compassionate.
Thank you, Spenser, for all you do for the CLD!
