Meet Brandy Locchetta, CLD’s newest Community Advisory Council (CAC) member!
Brandy joined the CAC in March of 2017, and is the newest member of the council. She manages the Inclusion program at the Georgia Department for Early Care and Learning (DECAL; http://www.decal.ga.gov/). This program supports childcare providers by connecting them with resources, providing on-site coaching, training, and other professional development. As Brandy states, her membership in the CAC helps her to “stay connected to resources and partners in the community”, which in turn “allow me to better support the Agency and the work of the Inclusion Unit which, ultimately, enhances the supports we provide to early learning professionals, children, and families”. Brandy was born and has lived in Georgia most of her life, and enjoys spending time with family, as well as reading a good book. She hopes to have her own research published in Topics in Early Childhood Special Education, a peer-reviewed academic journal. The three words she’d use to describe herself are: Passionate; Dedicated; and Responsive.
Welcome, Brandy – to the CAC!
